In her early life on Trill, Siraya quickly showed herself to be an intelligent and insatiably curious person, with a knack for learning.  She excelled in school and quickly found herself being considered for joining, her childhood dream.  She was informed that her application for joining was approved at the end of her 3rd year at Starfleet Academy, so she requested and received a one-year hiatus to complete the training and undergo joining.  She then returned to the Academy and graduated.  Siraya is thought to be the 5th host of the Tiar symbiont, but not much is known about her past lives due to her private, reserved nature.  She's still adjusting to life as a host, but she's eager to face any and every challenge ahead of her.
